I am a craftsman and the way the work goes it is often such that my day off comes up all of a sudden or in summer season or end of the year my day off is not determined until that day comes. When our youngest child was born, we increasingly visited Matsushima in Miyagi Prefecture, where my wife's family resides, with no accommodation or any kind of booking in advance. We thought it was starting to become boring just visiting family all the time and thought if we had a camper van we can go on a trip on the day we think about going, so we decided to purchase a camper van. I loved camping from before but you need to put in a reservation to get into a campsite. With a camper van, however, we can just take off on the day we think about going. We can even stay overnight at a parking lot of a roadside tourist stops, so as I was searching for our camper van I came across Land Tepee from Toy-Factory.

It was not that popular in those days, but there was a small event about camper vans so I participated for the first time and that is when I got to know about Toy-Factory.

In terms of price, it was still in my range with a bit of effort, so we decided to purchase the vehicle.

The life with a camper van is now my lifestyle. It has become a part of our lives (laugh). Even while I am working, I am thinking about where to go when I get some time off next week, for instance, and that is also fun as well. (laugh)

I hardly go out drinking since we purchased our camper van. I would rather drive this vehicle and have some drinks at the destination, have some fun and then come back and I feel that is much more meaningful for me. The location, the vehicle, the drink and buddies make a great combination for having the utmost exquisite time.

You see at first I was introduced to users and events by employees of Toy-Factory and I would be invited to go and meet people, that then led to being invited by fellow users to their camping outings and so in that manner, my buddies increased in number.

I believe it is best to buy a camper van while children are small. Once children enter junior high school, they will be busy with their schoolwork, with their club activities and children also prefer to play with other children by then. The only time you can go out frequently as a family unit I believe is only until the children finish the elementary school. If you are hesitating about a purchase at this moment and if you now have a small child, then I would recommend that you buy as early as possible. Even if you need to stretch a bit, once you purchase a camper van the world becomes a broader place for adults as well as for the children. The day you think of buying is the best day to do that, so I think you should buy right away. The size of the vehicle would of course depend on the available garaging space, your own lifestyle and the other circumstances but if you have children, you will have more luggage and larger can take care of smaller so instead of purchasing something small because it is cheaper, I think it would be better to purchase something large, even if you need to stretch a bit.
